Here’s how it works:

The color comes in a tube and must be mixed with a developer (oxidizing emulsion) before application.

The developer volume (10, 20, 30, or 40 vol) depends on the desired result:

10 vol: Deposits color or darkens

20 vol: Standard for gray coverage and 1-2 levels of lift

30 vol: Lifts 2-3 levels

40 vol: For high-lift blondes or more intense lifting

Mixing Ratio:
Typically, the mixing ratio is 1:1.5 (1 part color + 1.5 parts developer), but always refer to the brand’s specific instructions for best results.
