Aveda recommends using it with their Full Spectrum™ Color Catalyst Developers, which are available in different volumes (5, 10, 20, 30, and 40) depending on the level of lift or deposit you’re aiming for.

Quick Guide:

• 5 or 10 Volume: Deposit-only or tone-on-tone coloring

• 20 Volume: Standard gray coverage or 1–2 levels of lift

• 30 Volume: Up to 3 levels of lift

• 40 Volume: For maximum lift (usually not recommended for scalp applications)
